XV1100 1993 Part Out

Hi folks,

I obtained a 1993 XV1100 that had “flood damage” initially with the hope of an easy, budget restore however after I dropped the motor out and took off both heads and cylinders it became clear the old girl was going to need an oversize rebore, something I could not afford or have the full facilities and time to do. Water has entered the carbies and gone mostly into the rear combustion chamber but no further. The bottom end of the motor is completely clear and clean. I have removed casings on both sides of the motor and its all clean, no water.

So the decision is to part out most of the bits with a few exceptions that I want to keep as back-up spares for my historic registered 1993 XV1100, things like rectifier/ regulator, fuel pump, ignition coils, starter motor and ignitor unit and maybe a few other items.

The previous owner did some “customising” work which included painting the tank, side covers, mudguards and wheels matt black. It looks to be professionally done and is in good order and would not be difficult to repaint.

Open to offers on all these items as my workshop is being demolished and has to cleared out asap.

The list of parts goes something like this:

  • The biggest item is the frame and motor with matching numbers. The motor has the heads and cylinders removed
  • Front and back wheels with rear tyre being a Commander 3 with lots of wear left. The front Metzler is too old to use.
  • Front forks and brake calipers
  • A set of after market rear shocks
  • OEM handlebars, mirrors, clutch lever and master cylinder lever
  • Fuel tank with key and Reserve tank in good order
  • Ignition Switch with key
  • Front Guard
  • Rear Guard and Tail light (also painted matt black)
  • Headlight and shell
  • Set of Instruments with 50,000km on the speedo
  • OEM Foot Pegs, both sides, rear brake pedal and shift lever
  • Rear foot pegs and Side Stand
  • Seat
  • Rear toolbox with key
  • Plastic Battery box
  • Rear Brake switch
  • Set of Carburetors (will need a full rebuild given their age)
  • Wiring Harness in good order.
